The CBI Passport – 11th Grade is a yearlong college, career, and postsecondary readiness experience designed to help scholars move from exploring their options to actively preparing for them. Junior year is an important turning point. Scholars are getting closer to graduation, and the decisions and actions they take now can help shape the opportunities available to them after high school. Through monthly Passport missions, scholars will complete objectives connected to academic progress, ACT/SAT preparation, career exploration, financial literacy, college and postsecondary research, professional communication, leadership, résumé building, scholarships, and summer opportunities. Each month, scholars will learn, take action, participate in CBI workshops or partner experiences, demonstrate progress, reflect on what they learned, and earn CBI Passport points for completing meaningful objectives. Scholars may engage with colleges, employers, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, career professionals, community leaders, and other CBI partners while beginning to translate their interests into practical next steps. The goal of the 11th Grade Passport is for scholars to enter senior year with greater confidence, a stronger understanding of their options, and a clearer idea of what they need to do next.
