About

I’d update it so the description feels less like a traditional self-paced course and more like an ongoing scholar engagement experience built around the new 4-3-2-1 model. The CBI Passport – 9th Grade is designed to help scholars start high school with confidence, direction, and a strong connection to College Bound Institute. Rather than simply completing lessons, scholars will use the Passport throughout the school year as a guide for staying engaged, setting goals, exploring opportunities, and building the habits that will support their success in high school and beyond. At the center of the experience is CBI’s 4-3-2-1 Scholar Engagement Model: 4 - Connect — Stay connected with CBI through regular check-ins throughout the year. 3 - Participate — Attend at least three CBI workshops each semester. 2 - Plan — Meet individually with CBI twice during the year to review goals, academics, interests, and progress. 1- Explore — Participate in at least one college tour, career experience, field trip, conference, or other CBI opportunity. Throughout the 9th Grade Passport, scholars will also set academic, involvement, and personal goals; reflect on their progress; explore interests; and identify areas where CBI can provide additional support. Freshman year is about building a strong foundation. Scholars do not need to have their futures figured out yet. The goal is to stay connected, show up, make a plan, and begin exploring what’s possible. The CBI Passport – 9th Grade is the first step in a larger journey that will continue building each year as scholars move toward college, careers, leadership, and life beyond high school.
