The CBI Passport – 10th Grade is a yearlong student development experience designed to help scholars move beyond adjusting to high school and begin intentionally exploring their future options. Sophomore year is a time to learn more about personal strengths, academic progress, careers, industries, money, leadership, technology, and the different pathways available after high school. Through monthly Passport missions, scholars will complete grade-level objectives connected to academic success, financial literacy, STEM and career exploration, communication, college awareness, ACT/SAT readiness, and personal development. Each month, scholars will learn, take action, participate in CBI workshops or partner experiences, reflect on what they discovered, and earn CBI Passport points for completing meaningful objectives. CBI experiences may include guest speakers, career professionals, financial literacy partners, STEM organizations, college representatives, entrepreneurs, and other partners who help scholars connect what they are learning in school with opportunities in the real world. The 10th Grade Passport is not about choosing one career or having everything decided. It is about exploring what is possible, asking better questions, and beginning to develop direction.
